MATT PORTER | BLACK BELT

Matt started training Jiu-Jitsu in 2011 as a way to stay in shape after graduating college and starting his career as an accountant. He quickly fell in love with the art and after 10 years of training received his black belt in 2021.

Matt loves teaching and watching students make progress that they didn’t think was possible the first time they stepped on the mats. He has experience working with students with various backgrounds, ranging from adults with no athletic background, former professional athletes, law enforcement, kids, and women’s self-defense classes.

“Jiu-jitsu will give what you put into it. There is no fake it till you make it.”

Whatever your goals, Matt is excited to help you put in the work to achieve them!
