Jeff has been training Jiu Jitsu for over 30 years , having begun his journey in 1993. He is a first degree black belt, and his passion and knowledge in the sport becomes immediately evident when we is coaching. His attention to detail and patience makes his classes approachable and informative for all levels of experience that show up to the classes he leads.

He has spent time training with Rickson and Relson Gracie, eventually receiving his black belt from grand Master Relson Gracie.

Jeff has been a life long martial artist. He trained in jiu-jitsu, jeet kune do, kali, jun fan and kickboxing.

He is also a member of the Cleveland martial arts hall of fame, and adds so much value to the teaching team at Academy 440.

Jeff loves sharing his knowledge with the students at 440, and we are so lucky to have him on the teaching staff as he has so much to offer to all athletes of all ages and skill set.
